Thank you so much for making this video, I've had my Scan n Cut (model CM110) for years... and it's stayed in the cupboard I've been really hesitant to use it. Today I've sat down and gone through the steps several times, with a little bit more practice the cupboard for my machine might be a thing of the past :)

Ten Years later so how are these 99 cent pads doing today? No not seriously. Just ran across this link when searching another question about difference between ink pad types...Dye verses Pigment. A friend wants to know but I found myself actually more interested than I thought learning a few things I hadn't realized. I actually did not know pigment dies blend very well with a blending brush say for rainbow colored blank cards and ombre effects. Hahaha. Most of my pads are pigments due to I think outside the box and apply them to hot foiling dies and use the dies as embossing/debossing effects. So I get two uses out of my hot foil dies. Pigment inks stick to the tops of the metal die that sticks up better than dye ink. Also if you want super crisp strong outlines with those stamps you often color in I've found Pigment rarely smudges or runs. It's a win win. But a friend stopped by yesterday and I loaned her a hybrid pad from Scrapbook. She was having problems when using stamps on a lightly textured white card stock. The paper looked more like a watercolor paper but anyway after I loanded it I told her to keep it and was going to make an order at Scrapbook. BUT TO MY SHOCK almost all of their ink hybrid ink pads that is are out of stock? I mean poof. They had several bundles where you could get 3-4 packs of pads together that had the black in it but they too are out of stock. Then the full close to 300 dollar buy the works of every color also out of stock. So I was searching to see if this is just a momentary thing and supplies are lagging production or what. While doing that search up came a link for this video. So I watched it. And then I noticed it was 10 year old post. BUT HEY GIRL it's still relevant today. One reason I often favor pigment dies is they wash up or off my metal dies and embossing folders and stamps with good ole water maybe now and again a wee bit of soap helps. Meantime I'm off to see if Scrapbook has a contact email to ask where's their hybrid inks. Thanks for the tip I'll send it along to my friend who started making cards not long after I did. We share a lot of supplies and information back and forth.

Mine arrived today. I've only test one so far. I bought the under the boardwalk set and test the green. I was amazed at how vibrant it transformed from it's original form. They all appear to be very dull in hue but apparently they will be be "magical." I intend to use them in my watercolor art and my first concern was how to apply a faint effect. Using the dry toothbrush is genius for this. I did an an initial sprinkle and spray using my fingertip and would recommend a very light spray at first. I spritzed twice and got a breathtaking dance of water and color but if your looking for a light dusting (as I am) I would step back, and spray once. Also, it's looks like I'm extremely late to the party. Eight years to be exact.

Oh wow. Just found this in my sewing items. Glad you have an instruction video. I have the template too. Now I can use this! I tried to contact Co first but it did not like my email. Too bad now I won't have to worry about you emailing me. Or mailing stuff.

If u used water to get ur paints to an appropriate consistency for pouring, or water and floetrol(even better) and also add a base layer of paint (white in most cases) to ur canvas to allow your colorful paints to slide around more easily. Also so u don't have to move and mix your colorful paints as much to cover ur entire canvas with paint.
